Common questions about flame soldering
What's flame soldering used for?
The Mig-O-Mat range (badged Elmaflame) is professional flame soldering for jewellery and small precision work — gold, silver, and platinum. The flame is precise and adjustable, designed for benchtop use rather than general gas brazing.
Which model should I choose?
The numbered series (80 / 140 / 170 / 240 / 300) reflects increasing flame size and gas capacity. For most jewellery benches the 80 or 140 is the right starting point. For larger work or production, the 240 / 300 give more sustained output.
