Single-frequency and multi-frequency units
TI-H units were supplied in two variants, and which one you have determines what the controls do:
- SF1 — single frequency, 35 kHz. No frequency selector, no mode selector.
- MF2 — multi-frequency, 25 / 45 kHz. Frequency and function knobs are fitted.
Check the nameplate if you are not sure. The degas and Sweep functions described below apply to
multi-frequency units only.
Frequency selection (multi-frequency units)
- 25 kHz — removing coarse and tenacious contamination, and pre-cleaning robust
surfaces. - 45 kHz — fine cleaning and removing contamination from sensitive surfaces.
The frequency can be changed while ultrasound is running.
Standard and Sweep modes (multi-frequency units)
Set at the function knob, and switchable during operation:
- Standard — use when the basket is connected to a manual or automatic oscillation
device. - Sweep — continuously shifts the sound-pressure maxima for a more homogeneous
sound field. Use this when the basket is not on an oscillation device.

Mains connection 100–120 V or 200–240 V, single phase, with earthing contact.
Ultrasonic frequency SF1 35 kHz or MF2 25/45 kHz depending on variant.
Safety and maintenance
- Solvent-containing and aqueous cleaners both have limits on use — check section 8 of the manual
before introducing any new chemistry. - On TI-H 25 and larger, the safety switch-off must be checked periodically.
- The transducer tank is a wearing part; service life depends on the media used and how the unit is
run. - Repairs must be carried out by authorised personnel only.
